Waring MX1000R Pros
Since we’ve already spent a lot of time on this site touting the wonder of the Waring MX1000R, we really don’t need to spell out all of the pros here again.
However, here is a huge plus for some people. This blender is big! When mixing drinks for friends and/or family, do you find that you have to keep starting over from scratch because your blender just doesn’t have the necessary capacity? With a 64 ounce pitcher, that likely won’t be a problem you often run into if you own the MX1000R.
Okay, so let’s move on to the cons. Ironically, some of the cons are pros too! Remember, you can’t please all of the people all of the time.
Waring MX1000R Cons
The MX1000R is just perfect for some people, but too much of a good thing for others. As mentioned above, this is a big blender, and some find that a little overwhelming.
So here are some of the cons:
It’s big! At 15 pounds and 19 inches high, this blender can be a bit cumbersome to move around. If you have counter space to spare, and use it often, I recommend making a home for it on your counter and leaving it there. Otherwise you, also need to clear of a space in your pantry, or try to find cupboard space to store it.
All that power—3 Horsepower—is great when it comes to getting the job done, but the downside is that it’s loud. But I wouldn’t say it’s all that louder than other blenders I’ve had, but others find it a bit much.
While the pitcher holds 64 ounces, you must remember that that only includes cold contents. You have less capacity for hot contents. This is to minimize the chances of getting scalded when adding hot items.
You cannot put the pitcher in the dishwasher.
Some people like to throw their stuff in the blender then walk away, or continue with other jobs. When using the MX1000R it’s recommended to keep one hand on the container while using the blender, and you should always hold it when starting the blender up. Because the machine is so powerful, it can jump a bit when the motor engages.
So there you have it. In my opinion, none of the cons are show stoppers. If you want a powerful, professional blender, the pros far outweigh the cons.
